Choosing a 12, 24, or 36 month contract

Longer contracts lower the monthly rate and, on Openreach full fibre, include the standard install. The minimum term is always twelve months.

Full fibre, Superfast, and Standard are sold on 12, 24, and 36 month terms. The term you pick changes the monthly price and, on many products, whether standard install is included.

The minimum term

The minimum term is twelve months in every case, including a 24 or 36 month contract. After the minimum term the service continues monthly until you cancel.

Cancelling before twelve months adds a £50 fee on top of any remaining contracted charges. After the minimum term, either party may end the service on 30 days written notice.

Install on Openreach full fibre

A standard managed install is included on 24 and 36 month Openreach full fibre. A 12 month contract carries a one-off install charge, shown at checkout.

Premium and advanced installs are separate, for a longer run inside the building. They are optional on any term. The detail is in what full fibre installation involves.

Other networks

CityFibre, Freedom Fibre, MS3, and ITS can still carry an install fee on a 12 month contract. Hyperoptic is not sold on a 12 month contract. The fee, when there is one, is on the order.

Questions

Does a 36 month contract have a shorter minimum?

No. The minimum term is twelve months in all cases. After that the service continues monthly until cancelled.

Which term includes standard Openreach install?

24 and 36 month Openreach full fibre include it. A 12 month contract carries a one-off install charge, shown at checkout.
