Which network installs the full fibre

Full fibre is sold from Openreach, CityFibre, and selected other networks. The network is confirmed before an engineer is booked.

The checker can find more than one network at a postcode. Broadbent Network confirms which one will actually install the line before the appointment is booked.

The networks

Full fibre is sold from Openreach, CityFibre, Freedom Fibre, Trooli, MS3, ITS, and Hyperoptic, where the address can take that network.

A predicted speed is not a confirmed line. If the product you chose is not available, the team contacts you with alternatives.

Why the network matters

Each network has its own standard install. Openreach places the socket within 1 metre of the nearest power socket on a standard visit. CityFibre keeps the optical network terminal within 10 metres, on the same floor. Freedom Fibre includes up to 100 metres to the nearest network point, excluding construction, and 15 metres of external cable. Trooli places the terminal within 5 metres of the external wall box.

A non-standard run can need a survey. On CityFibre, an extended or complex install needs one. The visit itself is described in what full fibre installation involves.

Contract differences

On Openreach, MS3, and ITS, a 12 month contract carries the install fee and a longer contract includes standard install. CityFibre can still charge an install fee on 12 months. Hyperoptic is not sold on a 12 month contract. The fee is shown at checkout.

Questions

Does the postcode check confirm the network?

No. It shows a predicted speed and suggests a plan. The network is confirmed before install.

Do all networks install in the same way?

No. The standard distance, the power socket, and whether a survey is required depend on the network.
